Hugh MacDermott is the Anglo-Irish founder of MacDermott’s Argentina. Aged seventeen he started working in tourism, in the Masai-Mara of Kenya. In 2004, aged twenty, he travelled to Argentina and after a gaucho apprenticeship in the Pampas he met his horse, Pancho Panza, and they spent the next two years exploring Argentina together. He then spent six years working as a travel guide throughout Argentina before founding MacDermott’s Argentina in 2011.
